Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers are recognized for having advanced skills in the practice of family law. To be considered for admission, a lawyer must be an experienced practitioner with a significant proportion of his or her practice in the area of family law.

Chapter Activities
  • The Texas Chapter presents an annual seminar in Dallas each Spring, which includes a case law update, hot tips from the experts, and panels of family court judges and commissioners discussing issues commonly seen in family court. The seminar is videotaped and replayed through-out the state with local panels of judges and commissioners.
  • The Chapter also holds a member-only spring and fall program, which consists of in-depth discussion of major issues in family law. Other social events are held time to time during the year.
