Profile Introduction & Practice Philosophy
Jonathan J. Bates began practicing family law in Dallas and surrounding counties in 1993, after receiving degrees from Baylor University in both law and finance. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is experienced in the trial of complex child custody and marital property issues. Mr. Bates was selected in voting by attorneys for recognition in Law & Politics Magazine/Texas Monthly as a "Super Lawyer." He was also selected in voting by attorneys for recognition in D Magazine as one of the "Best Lawyers under 40 in Dallas" for 2004 - 2006. In addition to his trial practice, Mr. Bates has served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Bar Association Family Law Section and as a visiting Associate Judge in the Dallas family law courts.
