Profile Introduction & Practice Philosophy

Brenda provides advice, counsel and implementation on select family law matters, with special emphasis on analysis of complex estates, value and division of marital assets, and pre and post marital property agreements. Her cases have involved the marital estates of officers of companies traded on the New York Stock Exchange as well as estates that include closely held businesses and family trusts. She takes great pride in the fact that the vast majority of cases she handles are resolved out of court to her client's satisfaction. She serves as an advocate when cases require litigation to achieve a satisfactory result, but is most enthusiastic about collaborative law.

Brenda was the 2003 recipient of the David Gibson Award for Professionalism and Excellence in Family Law. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America [2001-2007] and named a Texas Monthly Super Lawyer - [ 2003-2007].
